ADD TREATMENT
Attention Deficit Disorder
or ADD is increasing and no-one really knows why.
Think about those times you
have gone upstairs to get something and by the
time you have got to the top you have forgotten
what it was. Imagine what it might be like to be
like that all the time. Imagine what it might be
like to not be able to sit and watch a TV
programme through from beginning to the end.
Imagine what it might be
like to not really understand what people are
saying to you because by the time they have
finished saying whatever it is, you have lost the
focus and don’t really understand what they
mean.
Imagine what it is like to
not be able to finish one thing because you have
just thought that you have to do something else
and then you can’t do that because you have to
do something else.
Imagine what it is like not
to feel part of everything that is going on around
you. To know that you have to do something but not
be in a space where you can concentrate or focus
on what is at hand.
To not feel that you are
involved or participating because you are
somewhere else in your head and feel left out of
everything and everyone –
Now these are all
experiences that we have had at some time for
whatever reason, but think for a moment what this
would be like if this was your world all the time
– how would you feel??
This is the world of ADD –
lots of thoughts about brain chemicals not being
balanced – but no one knows which ones, or why
or how to deal with the impact this creates on the
individual concerned.
There are ways of dealing
with this problem that are natural, simple,
effective self-help strategies that have proven to
help hundreds of children and adults with this
condition.
Unlike conventional
medication there are no side effects and the
self-help strategy is a toolbox for life to
support the issues around ADD.
Firstly we need to look at
the emotional support. Every individual is unique
and that needs to be addressed on a 1: 1 basis but
generally the following Bach Flower remedies offer
emotional support to deal with the stress that
these situations cause: Clematis for bringing
focus and attention into the here and now – to
interact in the present moment. Water Violet for
feeling alone and left out of things. Impatiens,
for feelings of fidgetiness, or needing to move
onto to the next thing. White Chestnut to stop
things going round in the mind, which might
overload the focusing process.
We then need to look at
diet, appropriate vitamin and mineral supplements
to support the brain and hormone function. A
Vegetable based protein drink first thing in the
morning, proven to aid concentration and focus.
Anti oxidants, to clear up the toxic residues in
our system that clogs our performance. Flax seed
oil rich in omega 3,6,9 - to aid brain function and performance.
Then we need to see what the
underlying core issues may be that underpin this
condition, to decipher when any trauma happened
and what that was, that may have contributed to
this state of being.
And the next stage, to
change perceptions and break negative patterns
that trigger these kinds of behaviours in certain
situations.
Then: to realign the sense
of hearing, to focus on what is being said and not
filtered out.
To realign the sense of
touch and smell – to calm down brainwave
activity.
To interact with colour, to
balance the daily colour deficiency that
influences the way in which our brains are wired
in circuitry.
To reaffirm the body’s
cells with homeopathic amino acid codes, to assist
the combination of simple proteins in the cells so
they function at peak performance.
These are all simple and
successful ways that are step-by-step and tailored
to the needs of the individual concerned. They can
help to provide a less stressful and positive
solution focused lifestyle for the ADD sufferer.
In over 85% of the people
who use these approaches as part of their HET –
Holistic educational therapy Programme, their
personal objectives have been met…..
